Inaugural Award Winners 2024
Thank you to the members and staff that have organized and generously supported the EAF. We’re excited to be entering our 2nd year and very pleased to announce our inaugural group of grantees, the 2024 EAF Award Winners. Bryn Mawr Country Club is thrilled to be assisting the following individuals in pursuing their dreams and realizing their academic goals. We look forward to your continued support in 2025.
Isabela Cancino – Isabela is Chef Amber’s sister and a student at DePaul University in Chicago. An outstanding high school student: she attended a dual-credit high school that saw her graduate with honors all four years and Summa Cum Laude with an associate’s degree from Lone Star College in Texas. Isabela is studying business at DePaul and envisions herself in a career on the administrative side of the theme park industry.
Joseline Carrillo – Joseline is Sous Chef Jose Luna’s daughter and a student at nearby Northeastern Illinois University. A graduate of Morton East High School, Joseline has interests in the areas of journalism and art and is very excited about the foundation she’s building with her education.
Jackson Edgar – Jackson is starting his third season in the role of Assistant Superintendent. Jackson brings a great deal of zeal and effort to the job every day and understands the role he has in creating a great golfing experience for our membership. He recently started the on-line Turfgrass Certificate program through Penn State University and makes sure to always stay on top of both his school and work responsibilities.
Aangel John Gutierrez – Aangel is a first-generation college student. A freshman at Illinois State University, he is studying architecture and sees himself in the real estate industry; he is considering extending is education into a master’s degree. Aangel is the son of our very dedicated and caring Dining Room Manager, Aaron Gutierrez.
Conan Emmet Kison – A freshman at the University of Iowa, Emmet graduated Cumma Sum Laude from Notre Dame College Prep. He is majoring in Engineering and hopes to design equipment in the sports industry that will help optimize the performance of athletes. He stays busy as a caddie and rack room employee. His mother Annie was also a long-time caddie/pro shop staffer, and his Uncle Mike Tully is our Assistant Caddie Master.
Brianna Rostescu – Brianna was a 4.0 student in high school and is a freshman golfer at Florida Gulf Coast University. A very solid player, she has goals to work in the golf industry and is a PGA Golf Management Student. Brianna is an impressive individual that excels here in her roles as a caddie, rack room staffer, and range attendant.
Gabrielle Rozenweig – Gabi is a lifeguard at the club and is now continuing her studies in accounting and finance at Yeshiva University, after taking a gap year in Israel. (She graduated in 2023 from Ida Crown Jewish Academy.) Her journey has afforded her both the opportunity to further study her Jewish heritage and volunteer extensively with young children.
Audrey Smith – Audrey is a junior at George Washington University and is very grateful for the financial assistance of the EAF. She is nearly a straight A student at GWU and is majoring in Political Communications. Audrey is also a long-time caddie and rack room employee.
Aisling Tonkinson – Aisling is another very committed, valuable caddie and pro shop employee. She is a junior at the University of South Carolina where she is studying Advertising with a Business Administration Minor.
